Madison, Wisconsin in the 1980s was a great place for campus activism, but personal experiences around this activism were often complicated. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, the Wedge Co-op was a little granola shop helping to start Minnesota’s organic food scene. In 2008, they purchased The Gardens of Eagan (located at that time not in Eagan but Northfield, MN) but then sold it in 2015.

What happens when some Chicago kids confront a novel technology? The answering machine was invented in the 1940s. The classic 1970s TV show Rockford Files began each episode with a message left on Rockford’s machine. But it was still uncommon in 1980s homes.
