Madison, Wisconsin in the 1980s was a great place for campus activism, but personal experiences around this activism were often complicated. Meanwhile, in Minneapolis, the Wedge Co-op was a little granola shop helping to start Minnesota’s organic food scene. In 2008, they purchased The Gardens of Eagan (located at that time not in Eagan but Northfield, MN) but then sold it in 2015.

My pet rat Albert died in fall of 1988. He was buried in an empty lot behind Bret Harte Elementary School.
